Ieshia Champs

Ieshia N. Champs is the founder of Champs Law Firm, PLLC. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas and subsequently grew up in Houston, Texas, after being placed in the custody of Children Protective Services. In May 2013, she received her Bachelor of Applied Arts in Business Applied Administration from the University of Houston-Downtown. Ieshia earned her Juris Doctorate degree at Texas Southern University – Thurgood Marshall School of Law in May 2018, earning her license to practice law in November 2018.

Ms. Champs has extensive litigation experience. Prior to founding Champs Law Firm, PLLC., she was an Assistant County Attorney in the Children Protective Services Division representing the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), otherwise known as Childrens Protective Services (CPS). She has experience in CPS and family law litigation in both the family courts and juvenile courts of Harris County.

Ms. Champs has focused on family & child welfare law and has handled hundreds of complex cases from emergency hearings through final trial. Some cases involved divorces, highly contested custody disputes and C.P.S. termination cases, but she also takes pride in counseling clients through more amicable cases often resolved through settlement.
